Food, Water and Maintanance

Food & Drinking Water:

Our all-inclusive tours include full-board meals every day of your trip. Each morning breakfasts are served at the hotels, and we will have lunches and dinners at local restaurants. The restaurants will vary between fine dining found in the capital cities to the best available in more remote locations. The cost of your tour includes one salad, one soup, one entrée, as well as unlimited bread, tea or coffee. Your guides will take into consideration your requests when choosing where to dine. You may choose from the menu what you prefer to eat. We do not provide partial refunds for unfinished meals.

Cuisine/Special Meals:

All restaurants on the tour offer local European cuisine with meat and chicken. However, due to the geographical location of some of the countries, fish and sea food is not widely available. There are no special vegetarian restaurants, and very few restaurants offer special vegetarian meals on the menu. It is possible to request a custom vegetarian meal from the restaurant, or you may simply select dishes from the menu that do not contain certain things. Your guide will help you to order or pre-order meals.

Alcoholic beverages are not included in the cost of tour packages, however in most restaurants you will be able to select alcoholic beverages at the prices listed on the menu.

Although the tap water is considered safe, we do not recommend drinking it; tourists must always be careful about drinking local tap water wherever they travel in the world. We recommend you drink bottled spring water, which is available for purchase throughout the tour. We provide one liter of bottled water per person free of charge for each day of the tour.

Physical Condition Requirements/Vaccinations:

Most participants on our tours are in their late 50’s to early 80’s. It is not necessary to be able to hike or trek, but you will need to be able to walk long distances, climb stairs, and carry your own luggage. Please be considerate of other members of your tour group by being on time for excursions, and by having the ability to go sightseeing without needing frequent stops to rest.

There are no special vaccination requirements for any of our Central Asia tours.

Internet Access/Electricity:

Internet is accessible during most of the tour. All the hotels in the capital cities, as well as most hotels in remote locations offer free Wi-Fi internet in the lobby. In addition, some of the restaurants on the tour also offer free Wi-Fi internet access. Internet speed is slow-usually less than 256 kb per second. Central Asia Tours is not responsible for the absence of internet for any reason in places where it is advertised, such as restaurants and hotels. The voltage for all the countries visited on your tour is 220W with European plugs (two round holes).

Feel free to contact us at Central Asia Tours via e-mail or phone with any questions you may have. We understand it can seem complicated and we are here to help. We are eager to make your travel experience as simple and carefree as possible!
